Our strength lies in our relationships with clients, which is all about people. We have grown over the last twenty years keeping many of our original clients through to today. It's all down to our dedicated, friendly team of people.

 

Stephen Wicks

Stephen is in his mid fifties and the Principal Stephen cropped 2of Wheeler Wicks & Company.  He has worked in the financial services industry throughout his working life, having spent time in the city of London before returning to Wales to set up Wheeler Wicks & Company.  In the city Stephen worked for leading investment houses advising on all aspects of retirement planning, investments and offshore planning.  He passed his financial services exams in 1992 and has subsequently obtained further qualifications in investment and risk and equity release.  He advises on all aspects of financial planning.

Stephen enjoys working alongside other professionals, solicitors and accountants, with whom we have good working relationships.

Outside work Stephen enjoys travel, sport, gastronomy and wine.


Lorna Brown

LornaLorna has been with Wheeler Wicks & Company since 1993 and advises clients on all aspects of financial planning including investments, retirement and inheritance tax strategies.  Having previously run the family business, she obtained the Financial Planning Certificate in 1998 and has gone on to qualify further in equity release and long term care, with an advanced qualification in taxation and trusts.  She obtained her Diploma in Financial Planning in 2008 and is now working towards Chartered status.

Lorna particularly enjoys helping clients gain confidence in handling their financial affairs.

Outside work Lorna enjoys anything equestrian, travel, gardening and the countryside.


Richard Emms

Richard joined Wheeler Wicks & Company in Rich 2011. He advises clients on all aspects of financial planning, specialising in Individual and Business Protection, Private Medical Provision as well as Pension and Investment advice. A fluent Welsh speaker, Richard obtained his Financial Planning Certificate in 2009 and went on to gain his Diploma in Financial Planning in 2012.

A former Professional Rugby Player, Richard has represented club sides in both England and Wales. Since retiring from the game, he regularly presents to Professional Clubs on a wide range of Financial Planning matters and also advises Professional Sportsmen and Women on Wealth Creation and Preservation.

Away from work, Richard has a young family who keep him on his toes! He also enjoys travel, history, golf and fine wine.
